Abyssal Eye

Abyssal Eyes are deep-sea creatures that dwell in the deepest, darkest reaches of the ocean near Bilgewater. Their defining feature is a pair of enormous, luminescent eyes that glow in the pitch blackness of the ocean depths, a light in waters that are otherwise wholly dark. Rather than swim with purpose, they drift through the abyss, carried slowly through the black water. An Abyssal Eye hunts with that same gaze. Its eyes are hypnotic, and it uses them to stun its prey, holding a creature motionless in the moment before it is consumed. In a place where nothing else gives off light, the glow of an Abyssal Eye is often the last thing its prey ever sees. Abyssal Eyes are among Bilgewater's eeriest deep-sea creatures, embodiments of the terror of the unknown deep. They belong to the cosmic horror undercurrent that runs through the region's lore, representing the unknowable terrors that lurk in Runeterra's oceans and the dangers hidden in depths no one has charted.
