Badgerbear

The badgerbear is a sizable omnivore and one of the mammals that make their home in the woodlands of Demacia. It is counted among the sentient creatures of the region, sharing its forests with the other beasts of that kingdom. The animal owes its name to the way it appears to fuse two separate creatures into one. The coloring of its coat matches the markings you would find on a badger, while its frame and bulk sit closer to those of a bear. That mixed look, part small woodland digger and part heavy forest predator, is what gave the badgerbear its double name. Not every badgerbear lives entirely wild. Beastmasters who serve among the Demacian rangers have tamed some of these animals and kept them close. Raised this way, a badgerbear becomes a dependable companion, and it earns its keep when its handler goes out to hunt or to scout the land, working alongside the rangers who patrol Demacia's forested frontier.
