Clam

The clam is a bivalve mollusc that lives along the seabeds of Runeterra. It makes its home on the ocean floor, resting on the bottom rather than moving through the water above it. Among the creatures catalogued across Runeterra, the clam is set apart by a designation of sentient, despite taking the outward form of a simple shelled mollusc. What awareness this grants a creature sealed within its hinged shell has not been recorded. The clam is familiar enough in Bilgewater to serve there as a measure of foulness, where a rank, stinking breath may be likened to a bucket of rotten clams. The specific regions where it appears have not been recorded, its wider habitat beyond the seabed is unknown, and no champions are counted among its connections.
