Firelight

Firelights are an insect species whose origins lie in Zaun. What sets them apart from ordinary insects is their status as a sentient creature rather than a simple animal, so they are recognized as more than mere vermin of the region. Within Zaun, Firelights live in the built-up parts of the city and in the sewers that run beneath it. Their range keeps them close to the settlements and the underground passages of the region rather than in open country. The Firelights are also connected to several of Zaun's well-known figures. Caitlyn, Ekko, Heimerdinger, Jinx, and Vi are each linked to this species through their own ties to the region.
