Kindred (The Eternal Hunters)

Kindred, known as the Eternal Hunters, are the twin spirits Lamb and Wolf, and together they form the single embodiment of death in Runeterra. They are not a demon or a monster in the ordinary sense but something far more fundamental, the personification of death itself within Runeterra's spiritual cosmology. Every living thing is bound to them, and Kindred follows all life wherever it goes. The two aspects express the two ways mortals meet their end. Lamb offers a peaceful and swift release to those who accept that their time has come. Wolf pursues and savages those who deny death and try to flee it. The two are inseparable, and their union captures a duality that runs through Runeterra's whole understanding of mortality, acceptance set against denial. For this reason Kindred is counted not as a creature of any one region but as a universal presence. They belong to no single land and answer to no faction, and instead they touch every mortal being, making the inevitability they represent one of the fundamental themes of Runeterran belief. To meet Kindred is to reach the moment of one's own death, and the only question that remains is which of the two hunters will bring it.
