Murk Wolf

The Murk Wolf is a spectral, shadowy wolf that haunts the darker corners of Summoner's Rift. These predators are not entirely of the physical world. Their glowing eyes and wispy, half-formed bodies mark them as creatures touched by some dark magic, the same shadow that seems to pervade the Rift itself. Murk Wolves live and hunt in small packs, each led by a larger alpha. They keep to the dark groves scattered through the jungle of Summoner's Rift, and they fall upon intruders with an ethereal ferocity, attacking as ghosts as much as beasts. Though counted among the Rift's more common creatures, they are no small threat within their shadowed territory. The pack is bound to the strange forces of the jungle in more ways than one. When the wolves are cut down, a roaming spirit has been known to break loose and drift through the surrounding wood, ranging outward to reveal enemies hidden nearby. This lingering presence, released from the slain pack, is one of the small signs of the shadow magic that clings to every corner of Summoner's Rift.
