Platewyrm

The platewyrm is a large, serpentine fish that dwells in the deep seas of Bilgewater. It is tied in particular to the waters of the Serpent Isles, the island chain at the heart of the region, and is classed among Bilgewater's aquatic creatures. Its long, snake-like body is its defining trait, marking it as a creature of the open depths rather than the coast. True to that classification, the platewyrm makes its home in the Deep Seas, far below the surface. It is understood to be carnivorous, though this is offered as a presumption rather than a settled fact, and the specifics of how it hunts and what it feeds on go largely unrecorded. Beyond its form and its habitat, little else is documented about the platewyrm. It remains a minor figure among the creatures of Runeterra, known chiefly as one of the deep-water serpents of the Bilgewater seas.
