Raven

The raven is a black-feathered bird recorded among the common wildlife of Noxus. Its dark plumage stands out plainly against the open country it favors, and it is counted among the ordinary animals of Runeterra rather than a beast of any particular renown. Ravens keep to the hinterlands, the sparsely settled backcountry that stretches beyond Runeterra's towns and strongholds. Away from dense habitation, they range across these wild reaches in search of food. Despite the grim reputation often attached to dark birds, the raven's diet is herbivorous, drawn from the plants of the lands it inhabits rather than from hunting. Within Noxus, the raven is linked to the champion Swain. As a common creature of minor significance, it is defined less by any single event than by its steady presence across the region, a familiar dark shape against the northern sky.
