Red Brambleback

Creature of Runeterra

A thorny, fire-infused golem that grants the powerful Red Buff when slain.

The Red Brambleback is a large, thorny golem that makes its den in the jungle of Summoner's Rift, standing watch over one of the two great buff camps that flank the battlefield. Its bulk is armored in sharp, briar-like protrusions, and beneath that spined hide burns an inner flame that smolders through every crack and seam, marking it as a creature of both stone and fire. Slaying the Red Brambleback yields the Crest of Cinders, better known as the Red Buff. The warrior who claims it gains steady health regeneration and sees their attacks wreathed in fire, each blow searing the target and slowing its movement. For the junglers who roam Summoner's Rift, this pairing of sustain and burning pursuit is a prize worth fighting for, turning the camp into contested ground from the opening moments of any battle. As one of the two primary buff camps on the Rift, the Red Brambleback sets much of the jungle's rhythm alongside its counterpart across the map. Control of its alcove decides who can heal through prolonged skirmishes and who can run down a fleeing foe, making the creature far more than a simple beast. It is a keystone of the terrain it guards, and every fighter who ventures into the brush knows the value of its smoldering heart.
