Stellacorn

The stellacorn is an equine creature native to the region of Targon. It lives near the very peak of Mount Targon, the towering mountain that defines the region, and keeps to the high celestial reaches that crown the summit rather than the valleys and lower slopes below. As a horse-like animal shaped by life at extreme altitude, the stellacorn belongs to the small community of creatures able to endure the summit's thin air and severe conditions. Its recorded habitat is the mountainous celestial heights of Targon, the rarefied uppermost zone of the peak where the mountain meets the open sky and the stars beyond. Within the wider bestiary of Runeterra the stellacorn is counted a common creature of minor significance, understood more as part of the peak's natural ecology than as a beast of legend or a monster of note. In Targon's records the stellacorn is associated with Soraka.
