Swifthorn

The swifthorn is a horse-like creature native to Noxus, known for a fearsome appearance paired with astonishing speed. It is easily recognized by the pronged, bony horns that grow from its head and run down its neck, which give the species both its menacing look and its name. Despite these weapons, it is a grazing animal with a herbivorous diet. Swifthorns were first tamed during the era when Boram Darkwill ruled over Noxus, brought under human control and put to use across the empire. Fast and durable, they suited a nation that values strength and practicality, serving as mounts and working beasts. The creature keeps to the rolling lowlands of its Noxian homeland, where the open ground favors its swiftness. In the wider bestiary of Runeterra the swifthorn is counted a common creature of minor significance, and in Noxian records it is associated with Ambessa and Rell.
