Tibbers
A shadow bear spirit bound within Annie's teddy bear, erupting into flaming fury.
Tibbers appears to be nothing more than a child's stuffed teddy bear, once well crafted and long since well loved, its limb-stitching frayed and one button eye lost to the years. In truth it houses a shadow bear spirit, an ancient and wrathful entity barely held by the enchantment that binds it to the toy. It is the constant companion of Annie, the Dark Child, and one of the most dangerous things in Noxus wearing the guise of an innocent plaything.
The bear was made by Annie's mother, Amoline, a witch who settled with her husband Gregori on a homestead beyond the Ironspike Mountains. Captivated by colonists' tales of the great shadow bears that once roamed the borderlands, she sewed a toy version of those protective creatures, finishing the last button eye just as her labor began. Annie was born on an ember-warmed hearth with fire already answering her emotions. When Amoline was lost, the trauma unlocked Annie's connection to the shadow bear spirit within the toy, and Tibbers became far more than a keepsake.
When Annie calls, the toy takes terrifying physical form as a hulking beast, thick strands of sinew binding its limbs to its torso like stitching, the whole of it burning yet unharmed by the flames that dance across its fur, with glowing abysses for eyes. In the tale Trouble, when a bounty hunter yanked the bear from her hands in a tavern, Annie's fury boiled over and Tibbers erupted, seizing the man and reducing the room to fire and ash before she skipped out into the snow. Tibbers, she says, does not like being pulled.
Tibbers is Annie's most prized possession and the last physical memory of her mother, so any threat to it invites catastrophe. It was an argument with her stepsister Daisy over the bear, then her stepmother Leanna's grief-driven rage against it, that once loosed Annie's latent pyromancy and left her orphaned amid a maelstrom of protective fire. Kept safe by the beast at her side, Annie wanders the dark forests of Noxus, oblivious to danger and to the danger she poses, while fire and death await anyone foolish enough to try to part her from Tibbers.
