Waverider

The Waverider is a large aquatic herbivore that resembles a gecko, a plump grazer of Runeterra's coastal shallows. It keeps to reefs and the shallow water above them, feeding on the growth of the seabed rather than hunting other creatures. The species is found in Zaun and among the reefs of the Guardian's Sea, favoring shallow water close to the coast. There it lives as a large grazing animal, browsing rather than hunting, which leaves it exposed to the predators that share its range. To the sailors of Bilgewater, the Waverider is a byword for helpless prey. When Rafen stood on a deck crowded with dangerous rival captains, he compared himself to a fat waverider hemmed in by a pack of hungry longtooths, the predators that hunt it. The image casts the Waverider as easy quarry, a fat and defenseless grazer set upon by a pack of hunters, though Sarah Fortune was quick to remind him that she, not he, was the longtooth in that room.
