Wolf

The Wolf is a common creature of Runeterra, a feral canine that ranges across the wild countryside of the world. Wolves are not confined to any single region, but roam widely wherever open land and prey allow, making them one of the more familiar animals of Runeterra's untamed places. A carnivore, the Wolf survives by hunting other creatures. The name covers a range of similar beasts rather than a single kind, and the various so-called sub-species of wolf are not always bound together by blood. What links them is form rather than lineage: they share the lean, canine build and predatory habits that mark them all as wolves at a glance, even where they are unrelated. Though no single wolf holds great weight in the wider lore of Runeterra, the animal is a constant presence at the edges of settled land, a wild hunter of the countryside found across the world's many regions.
