Academy of Techmaturgy

The Academy of Techmaturgy is Piltover's premier institution of scientific learning and hextech research. It was founded during the Age of Hextech to advance the study of hextech crystals and the many applications that could be drawn from them, operating as an academic body devoted to the disciplined pursuit of invention. Directed by its faculty leadership and based in the city of Piltover, the Academy has produced many of the region's greatest minds and most transformative inventions. Among its most distinguished members is Heimerdinger, the Revered Inventor, who was counted among its ranks before his ouster from the Piltover Council. Jayce also numbers among the notable inventors associated with the institution. Through figures such as these, the Academy has helped shape the direction of Piltover's technological ambitions. The Academy maintains close ties with the Piltover Council, its principal ally, and remains active to the present day.
