Glasc Industries

Faction of Runeterra

A Zaun chemtech corporation making hextech-derived technology accessible to the undercity.

Glasc Industries is the dominant chemtech corporation of Zaun, founded and run by Renata Glasc, the Chem-Baroness and the most powerful figure in the undercity's corporate hierarchy. Built on the chemtech formula that was her parents' legacy, it manufactures refined, elegant goods from dozens of factories, positioning them as an affordable answer to Piltover's exclusive hextech and reframing chemtech as beautiful rather than a word of iron and decay. Renata was born into poverty and watched a rival chem-baron destroy her parents' small chemtech business. Rather than seek revenge through violence, she pursued it through commerce, growing her meager inheritance into an empire that eventually consumed the organization that ruined her family. She invested in destitute young inventors, trading workspace and family stability for their labor in perpetuity, and gave others jobs, loans, and medicine, but never for free; those who could not pay in coin paid in loyalty. The company spread across Zaun from chemtech mining to dance halls to refineries, absorbing the barons who once held those monopolies. When a chemical accident flooded the city with poisonous fumes, Glasc handed out breathers and filters for free, earning Zaun's loyalty, and word of that generosity carried up to Piltover, where fashionable clans now line their shelves with its products. Beneath the polish, the corporation blurs innovation and criminal enterprise, and its help always comes with strings. Products marketed as medicine, like the Decanter, are not strictly medicinal, and a hidden cache of her parents' formula sits embedded in every Glasc device across both cities, ready to be released, side effects and all, at Renata's word. She removes rivals without hesitation and aims at the Sun Gate, Piltover's grip on all trade, which pits Glasc Industries against the Piltover Council.
