Noxian Trifarix

The Trifarix is the ruling council of the Noxian Empire, governing from the Immortal Bastion in Noxus Prime. It was established by Jericho Swain after he overthrew the previous Grand General, Boram Darkwill, opening what is now called the Post-Darkwill era. Rather than concentrate authority in a single Grand General, the council divides rule among three seats, each embodying one of the principles of strength on which Noxus is built: Vision, Might, and Guile. Swain holds the seat of Vision, and Darius holds the seat of Might. The third seat, Guile, is deliberately kept from public knowledge, and it is widely suspected to belong to a member of the Black Rose, the secretive cabal the Trifarix opposes even as one of its own may sit at the council table. Through this arrangement the council directs the Noxian High Command and the Trifarian Legion, the military strength that carries out its rule. The Trifarix remains the active seat of Noxian power. Abroad it drives the empire's campaigns against Demacia and Ionia, while at home it contends covertly with the Black Rose, whose influence threads through the very institution it helped shape.
