Void Heralds

The Void Heralds are not a faction in any ordered sense but the emissaries of the Void, a consuming alien force older than creation that seeks to unmake all of reality. The Void existed before the world was made, and it hungers to dissolve everything that exists back into nothingness. Its will is carried by the Watchers, the primordial entities that dwell within it, and its reach extends into Runeterra wherever the fabric of the world grows thin. The creatures born of this force, the Voidborn, are drawn into Runeterra through rifts and tears in reality, most often near Icathia and across Shurima. Each is a manifestation of the Void's hunger given form. Vel'Koz studies, Kha'Zix evolves, Rek'Sai devours, and Cho'Gath consumes, every one of them acting on the same drive to dissolve what exists into nothing. Bel'Veth is counted among the most prominent of their number. As heralds of the Void's advance, these beings set the whole of Runeterra against them. Chief among the powers arrayed in opposition are the Aspects of Targon and the Shuriman Ascended. The threat remains active and unrelenting, emerging still from the Void and the Icathian rifts, a force that recognizes no allies and pursues only the end of existence itself.
