Glacial Prison

Glacial Prison is a place of confinement raised on the frozen frontier of Valoran. It stands along the shores of the Ice Sea, set upon the Arctic ice-sheath that spreads across the far northwest of the continent, where the cold and isolation of the surrounding ice serve as walls in their own right. Its remoteness suits its purpose, and the stronghold remains active to this day, still holding those sealed within its icebound reach. The prison is bound most closely to Ryze. It was here that he faced a voidborn in battle, fighting the creature in order to obtain a World Rune. That confrontation is the single documented event recorded at the site, and it ties the frozen holdfast to Ryze and his pursuit of the World Rune kept in the far north. Beyond that clash, the Glacial Prison keeps its own silence, a notable but little-seen fixture at the northern edge of the known world.
