Houhjo

Houhjo is the name of an Ionian human tribe, a people who make their home in the far south of the Ionian Archipelago. Their territory covers the two islands at the southern tip of that chain, Galrin and Sudaro, which lie at the outermost edge of Ionia's scattered isles. As one of the archipelago's living communities, the Houhjo endure into the present day, their people still counted among the inhabited places of the region. They are marked as a notable presence on the maps of Runeterra, holding the southern reaches of the island chain as their own. The Houhjo are connected to Varus. Through that link the tribe is tied into the wider lore of Ionia, standing as one of the region's human peoples whose lives are entwined with the archipelago and its long history.
