Kahleek River

The Kahleek River, also written as the River Kahleek and sometimes as the River Khaleek, is a waterway of southern Shurima. It draws its flow from the Mother of Life River, branching away near Vekaura and carrying those greater waters across the southern reaches of the desert realm. The Kahleek is a young river by the reckoning of Shurima's long ages. It sprang to life only recently, its bed filling in the wake of the capital's return from beneath the sand. Water now runs along its course where the river had not flowed before, one of the many changes that came when the old city rose again. Fed by the Mother of Life and bound to the reborn capital, the Kahleek River remains active in the present day. It is counted among the notable features of the Shuriman map, a living channel that traces how far the land has shifted since the sands gave up the buried city.
