Kashuri

Kashuri is a coastal settlement on the southern reaches of Zhyun, one of the islands of Ionia. Where much of the First Lands keeps to its temples and quiet valleys, Kashuri is known for its armories, workshops that forge some of the deadliest weapons in the world. Its guns, called Kashuri rifles and dismissed by some vastaya as tubebows, are lethal firearms placed in the hands of trained warriors, and its smiths lend their handiwork even to Noxian steel, producing serrated carvers prized for the wounds they leave. When the Noxian empire invaded Ionia and Zhyun descended into turmoil, Kashuri was among the settlements that called for aid, alongside Tuula and Huroi. Some of those pleas went unanswered, a failure that later festered into bitterness among the Ionians who had been ordered to stand aside rather than fight the invaders. Kashuri is bound most infamously to Khada Jhin. After his release from the monastery prison at Tuula in the aftermath of the war with Noxus, the killer gained access to the Kashuri armories' newest weapons, implements of destruction that arm his grotesque performances. How he came to possess them, and what connection he truly has to Kashuri, remains a mystery, yet its craftsmanship now carries his art across Ionia and into distant lands as far as Piltover and Zaun.
