Kinkou Monastery

The Kinkou Monastery is the ancient seat of the Kinkou Order, perched high in the mountains of Ionia. The order that keeps it is devoted to preserving the balance between the physical world and the spirit realm, and the monastery serves as both its headquarters and the training ground where its members are shaped in the martial disciplines the Kinkou uphold. The monastery is tied to Shen, Akali, and Kennen, figures whose paths run through its halls. Its history reaches back to the founding of the Kinkou Order, the establishment that set the balance the order still guards. That balance was broken from within when Zed betrayed the Kinkou and founded the Order of Shadow, a schism that turned the order against itself and brought an attack upon the monastery. In the wake of that conflict, Shen assumed leadership of the Kinkou, taking up the charge of holding the order together. The monastery remains inhabited to this day, still standing in the Ionian heights as the home and headquarters of an order sworn to the balance between realms.
