Mageseekers' Compound

The Mageseekers' Compound is the fortified headquarters of the Mageseekers, the order charged with hunting mages throughout Demacia. From behind its walls the order enforces the kingdom's strict anti-magic laws, and the compound stands as the center of its operations. It is a notable structure of Demacia, garrisoned and active rather than abandoned. The compound functions as a prison as much as a base. Captured mages are brought within its walls to be detained and interrogated, held under the authority of those who hunt them. Their powers are suppressed by petricite shackles, which strip prisoners of the very abilities that marked them for capture. This combination of fortress, interrogation house, and holding cell defines what the compound is. The compound is bound to the history of the Mageseekers themselves, from the formation of the order to the confinement of those it captured. Among its prisoners was Sylas, who was imprisoned within its walls. The building remains inhabited and in use, a working seat of Demacia's campaign against magic.
