Renek River

Renek River, also recorded as River Renek, is a river of Shurima. It rises from the Oasis of the Dawn, the source from which its waters set out, and it carries the name of an ancient nation that once shared its banks. That nation, Renek, was among the peoples that belonged to the ancient Shuriman empire. It stood somewhere along the river, its exact location no longer clearly known, remembered only as a realm whose life was gathered around this water. When the nation passed into history, its name remained fixed to the river that had sustained it, which is why the two are called the same thing. The Renek River is still active in the present day and is counted among Shurima's notable waterways. It is connected to Nasus and Renekton, whose names are joined to this part of Shurima.
