Sun Disc of Shurima

The Sun Disc of Shurima is a colossal megastructure raised at the center of the Shuriman continent, where it serves as the heart and capital of the empire in both ancient and modern times. It was shaped with the help of both Mount Targon and Ixtal, and the great disk hovered above the capital city, allowing the Shurimans of old to draw upon raw celestial magic and make their land bountiful. Above all, the Sun Disc is the instrument of Ascension, the primary mechanism by which Shurima's god-warriors were made. This purpose placed it at the center of Shuriman civilization and of the many storied figures whose fates are tied to it, among them Azir, Renekton, Xerath, Sivir, Cassiopeia, Aatrox, and Varus. In the empire's golden age, this power raised worthy mortals into the god-warriors who defined Shurima's might. Long after the age it crowned had passed, the Sun Disc was restored and stands active once more. Its raising is bound to the resurrection of the emperor Azir, marking the rekindling of Shurima's ancient glory.
