Temple of the Jagged Knife

The Temple of the Jagged Knife is a secretive temple in Ionia, devoted to a deadly martial tradition founded within its own walls. Its disciples are trained in lethal combat arts, and the temple has produced some of the most feared fighters in the region. Its exact location, and the full reach of the fighting techniques practiced inside, are closely guarded and known to few beyond its own ranks. Those who violate the temple draw the wrath of the deadly Order of Shadow. This was made plain when Gangplank, the dreaded reaver of Bilgewater whose name is feared across the Twelve Seas, came to Ionia and ransacked the Temple of the Jagged Knife. The raid earned Gangplank the enmity of the Order of Shadow, adding it to the many powerful enemies he had already made across his years of plunder. Like the rest who sought vengeance against him, the order was unable to bring the pirate to justice. The Temple of the Jagged Knife remains inhabited, and its martial tradition endures among the disciples who continue to train within.
