Tevasa
Its villagers took up pitchforks against the Noxian Legions while Ahri watched from a willow.
Tevasa is a village in Ionia, set in the northern reaches of Bahrl island and nestled in the foothills of Tevasa Mountain. It is a small settlement of perhaps a hundred people, a place of ordinary folk rather than warriors.
Tevasa is the setting of Stray Fox, which finds the village in the path of the Noxian invasion of Ionia. As the Noxian Legions tore through the countryside, burning temples and leaving cries of anguish in their wake, the dust of their advance grew visible over Tevasa. With no great warriors to defend them, the villagers answered in different ways: some families fled, some prayed, and others held their loved ones close and wept. About fifty of them resolved to fight, cleaning the dirt from their pitchforks and binding knives to broom handles, though every defender knew they had no hope of victory. They breathed the mountain air, looked to the twilight sky, and waited for the slaughter to come.
Watching over the village from the shadow of a towering willow was the nine-tailed Ahri. She had observed the people of Tevasa for weeks, listening from afar to families talking over dinner, the laughter of women, and the games of children, drawn by a longing she did not trust herself to act upon. Tevasa remains active.
