Thanze

Thanze is a city in the southeastern reaches of Navori, one of the provinces of Ionia. It lies toward the far southeastern side of that province and is counted among Ionia's notable settlements, a place set upon the maps of the region. The event that defines Thanze's history is the Noxian invasion of Ionia. When the empire of Noxus made war upon Ionia, Thanze was among the settlements it ravaged, caught up in the campaign that swept across Navori. The city was not lost to that violence, however. In the present record it remains active and inhabited, a place that outlasted the invasion's devastation rather than disappearing beneath it. Beyond that single catastrophe, Thanze is remembered chiefly for its connection to Zed. The city numbers among the places bound to his story, tying this southeastern Navori settlement to one of the figures whose fate runs through Ionia.
