The Glade

Location in Runeterra

Pix, disguised as an injured bird, lured Lulu here, the first yordle ever to reach it.

The Glade is a realm of raw, primordial magic, inhabited by fae creatures beyond mortal comprehension. It lies hidden deep within the spirit realm, concealed so completely that no yordle had ever found it. Though bound to Bandle City, the bizarre yordle home where time is meaningless and the natural laws of the material realm do not wholly apply, the Glade is a place stranger still. The realm existed long before yordles came into the world, and it is said that Bandle City itself may have sprung from it. Within its bounds imagination shapes reality, so that anything conjured from an overactive mind can come to life, and the ordinary laws of the material world simply fall away. The Glade first opened to a yordle when the fae spirit Pix, disguised as an injured bird, lured the wandering Lulu deep into a forest, through a cave hidden behind a waterfall, and across the veil into the spirit realm without her realizing it. There she became the first of her kind ever to reach the Glade. Her own magic swelled to new heights, letting her reshape her surroundings at will and alter her form into whatever she pleased, her life becoming one of endless creation and play. Lulu spent what felt like mere moments among the fae, though centuries passed in the world outside. When she finally returned to the material realm, she carried part of her newfound power with her, able to make small things large, change colors, and lull creatures spontaneously to sleep. She has long wished to go back, but the route is always shifting and Pix claims to have forgotten the way. Even so, she has come to understand that she carries a piece of the Glade within her wherever she wanders.
