Undead Wilds

Location in Runeterra

The withered remnant of the Blessed Isles, corrupted since the Ruination of Helia.

The Undead Wilds are a wilderness of the Shadow Isles, the withered remains of a land that once teemed with spiritual life. Before the region fell, this country belonged to the Blessed Isles, a place abundant in vitality and sacred energy. What survives now is a corrupted echo of that lost ecosystem. The site's recorded history stretches back through several ages. The earliest is the Westward Migration, spanning roughly 6000 to 5000 BN, followed by the long era of the Blessed Isles from about 5000 BN to 25 BN. That golden age ended with the Ruination of Helia in 25 BN, the catastrophe that transformed the Blessed Isles into the Shadow Isles. From that moment to the present, the wilds have persisted in their undead state. Among the figures tied to the Undead Wilds are Ivern, Kindred, Lucian, and Maokai. The region remains active, a haunted expanse where the spiritual richness of the old Blessed Isles has curdled into something restless and undying.
