Lunar Magic draws its power from the moon and the celestial forces it represents: mystery, change, dreams, and the tides. It is tied to the Aspect of the Moon, one of the celestial entities that resides beyond Mount Targon, and its wielders channel silver light to illuminate hidden truths, dispel illusions, and command water. Diana, the Aspect of the Moon, is its foremost champion, cutting through darkness and shadow magic alike with a crescent blade infused with moonlight. Aphelios draws on the same source through his twin sister Alune, who exists in a spiritual dimension connected to the moon, while Nami the Tidecaller invokes the moon's pull on the sea to protect her people. On Targon the practice was driven into hiding for centuries. The Solari, who worship the sun, declared the moon's power heretical and persecuted the Lunari who kept faith with it. The Lunari preserved their traditions in hidden temples and underground rituals, passing knowledge through oral tradition and encoded texts. When Diana discovered the concealed Lunari temple and was chosen as the Aspect of the Moon, she reignited a conflict between sun and moon worship that had smoldered across generations. Lunar Magic is strongest at night and during specific lunar phases, reaching its height under a full moon, and its bond with dreams lets its practitioners work within the subconscious realm. That same tie to the moon's cycle is its limitation: the power waxes and wanes, leaving its wielders inconsistent, weakest by day and at the new moon. The long persecution of the Lunari erased much of their knowledge, and in direct daylight confrontation solar magic can overpower the lunar arts outright.
