Voidborn

Voidborn are sapient beings made by the Watchers of The Void rather than born of Runeterra's natural lineages, which places them in the void category of races alongside no parent species of their own. They were built with a purpose already fixed in them: to take in Runeterra and understand it, gathering whatever knowledge would serve the Watchers when the Watchers come back. That purpose shapes how Voidborn move through the world. Consumption and comprehension are the same act for them, and every encounter with Runeterra feeds the store of information they exist to assemble. Because their function is directed toward the return of their makers, the Voidborn are less a people with a homeland than an instrument aimed at a future event. The Freljord is the region where Voidborn presence is recorded, and they are associated with all languages rather than any single tongue. A wide roster of champions connects to them, among them Bel'Veth, Cho'Gath, Kai'Sa, Kassadin, Kha'Zix, Kog'Maw, Malzahar, Rek'Sai, Vel'Koz, Lissandra, Ryze and Aurelion Sol, along with figures such as Aatrox, Jax, Malphite, Nami, Nasus, Ornn, Pantheon, Renekton, Rengar, Skarner, Varus, Viktor and Zilean. None of the Voidborn are counted as lost.
