Absolver

The Absolver is the relic cannon carried by Senna, one of the Sentinels of Light. Its framework was forged by the Sentinel order as a weapon of war against the undead horrors of the Black Mist, the ghostly tide that rises from the Shadow Isles. In its original form the cannon channeled only the pure light of the Sentinels, light meant to unmake the horrors that the darkness raises. Senna's own history is bound to the weapon. For years she was trapped inside the lantern of Thresh, and when she was finally freed she emerged with the power of the Black Mist woven into her very soul. Carrying both the Sentinels' light and the Mist within her, she rebuilt the cannon on its old Sentinel framework so that it could answer to her divided nature, both the Sentinel she had trained to become and the Mist-touched soul she now was. The rebuilt Absolver fires beams of concentrated Sentinel light infused with the Mist's spectral energy, a fusion of two forces the weapon was never meant to hold at once. Senna turns that combined power against the Black Mist itself, working to end the Mist by turning its own energy against it. With each blast she redeems the souls the Mist has claimed, drawing back what the darkness stole. Senna herself hails from a small island off the Demacian coast, and she still carries the weapon between that homeland and the haunted Shadow Isles.
