Broken Blade

Riven's runic blade was originally a massive sword forged in Noxus and enchanted with powerful runes by Noxian sorcerers. The weapon was shattered during the Ionian invasion when Riven witnessed the horrors of Singed's chemical weapons used against both Ionians and Noxian soldiers alike. The broken blade symbolizes Riven's shattered faith in Noxus. Even fractured, the sword retains its runic power and can briefly reform through Riven's will.
