What is not disputed is its effect: the artifact radiates a supernatural chill that slows the movements and actions of everyone who comes near it, draining speed from friend and foe alike. Its origins remain a matter of debate among Freljordian scholars, and the myths that surround it disagree on what it truly is. Some hold that it is the literal frozen heart of a primordial ice giant, a remnant of a being older than any living memory. Others attribute its creation to Lissandra's Frostguard, claiming it was crafted as a tool to control the Iceborn. Whatever its true making, the Frozen Heart endures.
