Hammer of Ornn

The Hammer of Ornn is the personal weapon and masterwork of Ornn, the Freljordian demi-god of the forge. He forged it himself in the fires of his mountain forge, the Hearthblood, and it is as old as the Freljord itself. Unlike any weapon made by mortal hands, this hammer was shaped by a god and is virtually indestructible. With it, Ornn works materials no ordinary smith could touch, shaping True Ice, volcanic stone, and the very mountains themselves. Many of the frozen north's most legendary artifacts owe their existence to its blows, among them True Ice weapons and the great bridge that spans the Howling Abyss. Across the ages it has produced countless other weapons and structures throughout the Freljord. The hammer is also an instrument of judgment. When rival deities descend to interfere in the mortal world, Volibear above all, Ornn rises to put such reckless beings back in line, answering them with his hammer or with the mountains' own fire.
