Hextech Gauntlets

The Hextech Gauntlets are the massive powered fists worn by Vi, the Piltover Enforcer, and they are as much a part of her identity as her fiery temper. Cobbled together in Zaun's undercity from salvaged mining equipment and stolen hextech crystals, and known as the Atlas Gauntlets, they are a product of the Lanes as much as their wielder. Vi, born Violet in Zaun, was orphaned young and survived the streets through brawling and petty crime, and it was among the undercity's abandoned mining works that she assembled the gauntlets. Once she strapped them on she found her calling and used them to carve out a reputation in the undercity. The gauntlets amplify Vi's already considerable strength to superhuman levels. They hum with a low buzz as power builds inside them, and Vi describes them as fully customizable, able to deliver varying levels of force. With them she can punch through solid walls, shatter barricades, and lift a grown man off his feet to hurl him across a room. Word of what she did to the Ecliptic Vaults spread through the undercity long before she ever wore a badge. Vi's path eventually carried her across the bridge from Zaun's criminal underworld to Piltover's enforcer corps. She caught the attention of Caitlyn, Piltover's Sheriff, who saw in her a partner who understood the streets as no academy-trained enforcer could, and Vi took the badge. After she joined the Enforcers her gauntlets were refined, upgraded from their crude undercity build into the weapons she now carries. She still fights for Piltover while remaining a Zaunite at heart, impulsive and irreverent, more comfortable solving problems with her fists than with procedure. These days Vi turns that same power to keeping order in the twin cities rather than breaking it, striking through walls and criminals alike. She is Piltover's most effective and most destructive enforcer, a fighter who leads with her fists and asks questions only if something is still standing. The gauntlets remain her signature, the heavy-hitting tools of a brawler whose whole approach is to walk up and hit hard.
