The Locket of the Iron Solari is a sacred relic of the Solari faith, kept upon the high peaks of Mount Targon. It is imbued with the protective radiance of the sun, and when its power is called upon it wraps the bearer and nearby allies in a shield of golden light. Among the Solari it is counted a relic rather than a weapon, prized not for the harm it deals but for the protection it grants. The locket was created by the Iron Solari, an elite order of Solari warriors charged with guarding the most sacred peaks of Targon. In its making it was blessed with the radiance of the sun itself, and it has since become one of the most treasured artifacts of the entire Solari faith. Rather than being forged anew for each keeper, it is passed down through generations of Targon's greatest protectors, carrying the memory of every hand that has held it before. Because it embodies the order's highest ideal of protection, the locket is never given lightly. It is granted only to the Solari's most devoted champions, those trusted to stand between the faithful and the dangers of the mountain. In the present day it is borne by Leona, who carries it as one of the order's chosen guardians and keeps it in active use rather than sealed away as an heirloom.
