Nightfall

Nightfall is the mace of Mordekaiser, the Iron Revenant, a weapon forged in death and as inseparable from him as the iron armor he wears. It channels the power of the death realm that Mordekaiser rules, so that every blow lands with the weight of the countless souls he has claimed. More than an ordinary weapon, it is a physical expression of his iron will and his dominion over the dead. Mordekaiser forged the mace himself, working within his own death realm and drawing on the souls of the conquered. He shaped it during his second existence, after the sorcerers who had sought to bind him were destroyed; from their souls he formed a new weapon and named it Nightfall. Its making opened his second campaign of conquest, the one he waged under the name of the Iron Revenant. The mace was made to bridge the world of the living and his domain of the dead, letting him project his power across that divide. With fresh necromantic sorcery he called the soldiers of his earlier wars back from death, binding them to his will as shadows. Among them was Atakhan, a demon that had served him in ages past. Nightfall remains in his grip, the conduit through which the ruler of the dead reaches once more into Noxus and the lands of the living.
